Conjure Tips for the New Year

Lets bring in the New Year with some good juju.

With the New Year finally here, it is time to plant the seeds of manifestation for the framework of what you want to manifest this year as a whole. And by seeds, I mean both literal and figurative. Here is a list of my tips in Conjure and Rootwork that can help you manifest your best life.

Tip #1 - The First Days of January

In many Hoodoo communities, the first 12 days of the year symbolize the 12 months of the year. So, this would be a good time to lay down some cleansings of house and home, invoking your Ancestors, making petitions for money and love, and anything else you want to conjure in your life.

Tip #2 - Eat Well, Live Long

This tidbit may or may not make sense, but hear me out. In our communities, it is quite common to pray over our food. To take it a step further, take a Pslam or Holy Writ (my favorite is Deut. 28, 8-12) that you are fond of and speak it over the food while you are cooking. Then, once the food is done, eat in silence. You don't want to be distracted while consuming wealth, love or happiness, do you?

Tip #3 - ReWork your Protections

Whether you are beginner at magic or adept, it is always a must that you check your protections. Your protections could be as simple as a jar containing the four corners of your property, a servitor or House Guardian, or a mojo bag. I personally have a certain god and a few familiar spirits to patrol the area. In this day and age, you can never be careful. As a tip, you want to word your spells against magical AND physical attack. Spare no expense when it comes to your saftey.

Tip #4 - Consult your Ancestors or a Diviner

In the months to come, it is ALWAYS best to know what is around the corner for yourself. Information from the wilderness can be crucial to your safety. Any visions, dreams, or messages you get from your Diviner need to be taken into consideration. That way you can plan your Work out for the year, if need be.
